Theme: Onwards to a Hundred Years Old: Aging and Orthopedics
Dates: November 19–21, 2025
Venue: Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Philippines

Dear Colleagues and Esteemed Members of the Orthopaedic Community,

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I extend this invitation to you for the 76th Annual Congress of the Philippine Orthopaedic Association (POA), scheduled to take place from November 19 to 21, 2025, at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

This year's congress, themed "Onwards to a Hundred Years Old: Aging and Orthopedics," aims to provide an in-depth exploration of the impact of aging on the musculoskeletal system. We will address how various orthopedic subspecialties adapt diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitative strategies for the aging population. Covering fields from upper limb surgery to orthopedic oncology, this course is designed to equip medical professionals with the knowledge and skills to optimize care for elderly patients facing orthopedic challenges.

General Objective:
To provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for diagnosing, managing, and preventing orthopedic conditions in the aging population across various orthopedic subspecialties.

Specific Objectives:

  1. Understand age-related musculoskeletal changes and their clinical implications.

  2. Identify and manage common orthopedic conditions in elderly patients across all subspecialties.

  3. Apply current surgical and non-surgical treatment strategies tailored for older adults.

  4. Recognize the importance of multidisciplinary care and rehabilitation in managing geriatric orthopedic conditions.

  5. Evaluate emerging research and technologies improving orthopedic care in the elderly.

Participants will engage in case studies, evidence-based discussions, and hands-on workshops to translate knowledge into clinical practice. This congress offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with peers, share insights, and advance our collective expertise in orthopedic care for the aging population.

We look forward to your participation in this significant event, as we collectively strive to enhance the quality of life for our elderly patients through advanced orthopedic care.

Warm regards,
